The Process

Heritage Creations works with individual’s to craft a customized biography geared to their specific goals. The process of creating your life story, an aspect or your life, or to highlight a milestone event is as follows:

-We will meet for an initial consultation to determine the scope of your project.

-Interviews normally occur once a week for a two hour session and will take place in a relaxed environment such as your home or office.

-If distance is an issue we will be glad to bridge the distance with technology and work via telephone interviews, e-mail, internet, and faxes. Of course we will be willing to make arrangements for one-on-one interview sessions in these circumstances as well.

-Interviews typically begin with simple memory jogger questions such as your place of birth, your early years, your parents, etc.

-Interviews are digitally recorded and then transcribed and placed in proper context with your story as it unfolds.

-You will be given the opportunity to view each draft for editing purposes and approval.

-Once the story has been compiled to your approval you will select photos, memorabilia, documents, letters, and any other pertinent information you wish to include.

-The final steps include selecting a title and choosing a book cover design.
